Alumni Reunion 2015!

A date has been set for a 2015 Kilowan Reunion! 

Mark your calendars on May 23rd for a gathering at Kilowan.  It sounds like cabin tours, hiking, and picnic lunches are all on the schedule.

Reunion 2011

Do you want to visit Kilowan?  Want another opportunity to hike the trails, sing songs around the camp fire, and eat a meal in Teal Lodge?  So do we!  That’s why we’re trying to organize a reunion.

“Hi Everyone,

Cathy asked me to e-mail everyone and let you know that we are not going to be able to use Camp this weekend. They have a major electrial problem and won’t be able to have groups in until it is fixed…or is sold. We are still in hopes of putting together a reunion and will be in touch…Please forward this info. to any other Kilowan alumni who may have been thinking about attending.

Reunion Update

Just a reminder about the September Kilowan Alumni Reunion.  Please contact Cathy Bourson at arbour1@ juno.com if you are planning on attending.  The Willamette Council appears to be in the process of selling the property to the LDS Church.  If the sale happens prior to the Reunion, it may be canceled.

Planning is underway for the 2007 Kilowan Alumni Reunion tentatively scheduled for early September of this year. Be sure to contact Cathy at the above e-mail if you plan on attending in case plans change before the weekend arrives.

new photos

Hello, hello.

I’ve finally added the photos I promised a couple weeks ago from the alumni reunion weekend. They are posted under the photo archives. You’ll see I’m not generally one for portraits so if anyone has photos of actual people from the weekend, or anytime really, I’d love to post them if you’re willing to share. Also, I didn’t seem to get any photos of those great gowns on display in Teal, so if anyone can help out with that I’d appreciate it.

Alumni Weekend Success

We carpooled with Spaz and her family up to Kilowan yesterday afternoon for the alumni reunion weekend. We met up with a lot of you and had a good time. We also did the cabin loop hike and the kids canoed and swam in the lake. We stayed for the potluck dinner and enjoyed catching up with everyone. Thanks for welcoming us! Also, I’m still shooting photos on film, so as soon as I’ve developed my pictures from yesterday I’ll share them here. If anyone has digital photos to share, I’d love to add them to the photo page.

I know we missed the hike to Luta and the camp songs at the covered rec. What else did we miss? Post comments about this weekend’s events on the guestbook for everyone who wasn’t able to make it.

Alumni Weekend

I didn’t want anyone to miss the invite to the Kilowan Alumni Weekend in September so I’m re-posting Rhett’s comment left on one of the previous posts. Consider yourself invited! (Note that I have change the @ in the e-mail addresses below to “at” in order to avoid e-mail spam.)  -Larken

…Eveyone reading, please consider yourself invited to the annual Alumni Weekend. This year it’s September 8-9-10 at Camp. Cathy Bourson (Chuckles) is taking reservations. You can sleep in a cabin, the meadow, or just come for the day. Cost is $15 per night, per person and a $5 for daytime only attendance (It helps us keep paying for postage and keeping folks informed). Bring the family and share Kilowan with your kids. I keep a list of addresses & email for these mailings, so if you want added to it, just let us know! I hope to see you all soon!
